Surfing requires a good grip between the feet and the board. You can wax the board, but the wax melts, gets dirty, it gets messy and you have to wax it again before every session. Wax is old school, but due to its stickiness, nothing can replace it perfectly. However, if you don't want to worry, it's worth investing in a pad. This one is maintenance free, traction is great, lasts forever and looks good.

RSPro offers a cork front pad. The cork is super light and in combination with water is non-slip. It's also durable, doesn't absorb water, protects the board from impacts, looks great and you can't think of anything more sustainable. The pad consists of four pieces of 1mm thick plates. They are extra sticky and if you stick them on a fungl new board, you can hardly remove them without chemicals. This makes it clear that they are applied to a completely clean and degreased surface.
